About Me
So, what do you do?
What is anthropology?
Ok… why though?
I blend anthropology and journalism to write human stories from the bottom-up that speak to themes of justice, identity and - broadly speaking - being human.
Anthropology is the study of humans. Whether it be the food we eat, music we listen to or - as I studied in Cambodia for my master’s thesis - how we rebuild our lives after catastrophe. It varies.
I see storytelling as advocacy: a way of bearing witness to and augmenting the voices that are silenced or forgotten in the hope of uncovering some clues about what it means to be human.
