Storytelling
I see storytelling as advocacy.
Whether it be a feature on Latin America’s illicit organ trade or a travel profile of Rotterdam’s Cape Verdean diaspora (which was listed by GQ as a reason to be excited for the 2026 FIFA World Cup) I provide a platform to unreported stories and unheard voices.
Rather than dealing in soundbites or hot takes, my currency is human experience.

Someone taps me on the shoulder, offering out some stickers: ‘Ultras Army,’ ‘Green Brigade,’ ‘We Support Till We Die.’ Then it all got a bit mad.

Analysis
Along with detailed storytelling, I have news analysis experience with InSight Crime, the leading platform covering organised crime in Latin America.
See here my reporting, informed by interviews with experts, published in English and Spanish.
UnFeatured
UnFeatured is my Substack, where I publish deeply reported stories that fall outside of mainstream coverage about - broadly speaking - being human.
One new story. Once a week.
